Fundraising through Badge Sales

Since 2020 we have sold thousands of challenge badges. Guiding at home to adventures in the dark and activities at Christmas, badges often have a challenge pack of activities and ideas to be completed during unit meetings and events.

Each badge includes the level name showing its origin. For Oystercatcher units this is 1st Hampton Rainbows, 1st Greenhill Rainbows and 1st Hampton Brownies. These badges raise funds for the named unit’s resources, activities, and to go towards events and trips. Funds may also support Girlguiding activity wider than the unit, particularly to promote and raise awareness of Girlguiding.

Badges sales for these units also fund the Oystercatchers.org.uk web site as well as the manufacture, promotion, distribution and carriage of the badges themselves.

Money raised by badges for other levels, that are shown on this web site and available via us, goes to the level shown on the badge where it will be subject to their own policies, choices and spending commitments.

Please ensure that you check the payment information for each badge, usually shown in the pack or on the order form, so that your payment is made to the correct Girlguiding entity.
